Thank you for considering a power catamaran adventure with us. For all cancellations or changes that you make more than 7 days prior to the date of your reservation there is a 5% fee. This is what the credit card company charges me on cancelled transactions. If we must cancel a tour for weather or low numbers related reasons you will receive a full refund with no fees charged, I will pay them as a part of doing business.
If you need to cancel or would like to change dates or trip time less than 7 days before your trip please understand that we have probably turned other folks away while holding your spots so unless we can rebook your date and time, you will only receive a 50% refund or credit towards another time or date. If you must cancel or change dates or times less than 48 hours before the trip start time and we cannot rebook your seats there is no refund and no credit towards a new trip date. If we can rebook the trip and salvage the day on any of these cancellations made less than 7 days before the time you reserved we are happy to give you a full refund minus the 5% to cover the credit card fees or we can move your reservation to another date at no charge.
The bottom line is that we at Avila Beach Whale Watching are a small family business and are dedicated to sharing a wonderful boating experience with you, our loyal customers. Please call us as soon as you know you must cancel and we will do everything we can to rebook the trip and give you the biggest refund or credit possible. We understand that life happens and sometimes it is not all good stuff. Your vacation experience is important to us and we will do whatever is in our power to help you out should an emergency arise that causes you to need to change plans at the last minute. Please understand that boats are expensive to maintain and our overhead is probably much higher than you imagine and we have a limited season to operate at full capacity. If you cancel at the last minute (less than 48 hours) prior to the trip departure time and we can not book someone to take your place you force us to run a trip that is not fully booked which is a loss for us. So there will not be any refund or credit or discount for a future trip unless I can rebook the seats I was holding for you. This is how I would hope to be treated in the same situation, I would not ask you to give me a free or discounted trip or service in the future If I "no showed" or last minute cancelled on you in your business. Please give me the same consideration.
