Typically at some point in late December the last of the Humpback Whales that have been with us all summer will start to migrate south to their calving and mating grounds. So we will be in a bit of a hit or miss situation for finding whales during this time as there will slowly be less and less to find as it gets later in the month. To ensure that this is a fun and educational outing we are combining our whale watching tour with a bit of our coastal tour. On this special trip we will view the Port San Luis Lighthouse and Smith Rock while sharing a few stories about the local history of this famous port that was a major trade center in the mid 1800's. On every tour we will stop and observe the California Sea Otters and California Sea Lions. On about 60 percent of the trips you can expect to see some Humpback, Grey or Minke whales as well as some Dolphins.
